Governance

Our Governors play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our high expectations and achievement, but also in terms of supporting student and staff innovation, creativity and research and development to ensure that our students are prepared for a global society.

Whilst our role is largely strategic, it is important that we know our school well and as such we do undertake school visits, gather data and information, as well as attending a wide range of different events, both within school and outside school hours. We too undertake training and self-evaluation to ensure that we are effective in our governance role and that we can appropriately support and challenge the school to ensure that we are providing the highest quality of learning experiences to all our school community.

It is important to remember that our Governors are in fact volunteers, which means they give their time freely to support our whole school community and we greatly value the contribution, energy and drive they bring. I do hope that you enjoy browsing through our website and if there is anything else you need to know about Governance, please contact me via: n.perkin@woodhouseacademy.staffs.sch.uk
